Opening Plenary of the 5th World Journalism Education Congress. With : Isabelle Huault - President of Paris Dauphine University, Joe Foote - President of WJEC and Audrey Azoulay - General Director of UNESCO.

Syndicates Session 1

The syndicates are small, themed discussion groups that produce recommendations to help improve journalism education worldwide. They encourage all WJEC conference-goers to join themed discussion groups of their choosing.

Journalism Education vs Fake News

This plenary session will address the challenges of Fake News for Journalism Education. Keynote Speaker to be Announced.

Syndicates teams will have the opportunity to continue their talks during lunch with special tables booked.

Paris Town Hall Cocktail Reception

On the second day of the congress, participants will enjoy the historical reception room of Paris Town Hall for a cocktail reception. A unique time to meet colleagues from all around the world.

WJEC 2019 – Ignite session

Following the traditional “ignite” format, presenters get 5 minutes and 20 slides to share their passionate teaching idea. The ten best “ignite” ideas will be selected to make their presentations “live” at WJEC-5. Program to be announced.
